Netball Australia, the governing body of Australia’s most popular participation sport, needed guidance in increasing their ability to engage their key audiences and providing more value to sponsors. The need spanned not only strategic direction but also technology investment.

W3 consulted with key stakeholders to understand the business goals and identify the requirements needed for the solution to be successful. These requirements were broad ranging, touching on digital infrastructure, communications, membership management and competition management.

Netball Australia first engaged Working Three to assist with the development of a Technology Master Plan for the sport. The approach they took went beyond just looking at technology; their customer experience approach included a vision of developing our brand online and using membership data to drive commercial outcomes.

The project was designed to provide Netball Australia’s sponsors with better intelligence about Netball Australia’s audience. W3’s approach proved that the implementation of a new sports management system could help sporting organisations’ engage their audiences and attract and retain major sponsors.

W3 delivered a digital customer experience blueprint that helped Netball Australia to mature member and fan relationships and create new revenue opportunities. W3’s strategy is now driving major change in how Netball Australia enagage, and bring value to Australia’s netball community.

Subsequently, W3 was engaged to develop the network of websites and web applications that have brought the blueprint to life.

We have been working with Working Three’s talented team of designers and developers who have created our new suite of websites – giving us a bold new look with the functionality we need.

Our work with the team at Working Three has allowed us to better engage our fans and members. They have assisted us in identifying opportunities in the digital space and have also played an important role in delivering the systems needed to support our vision for the sport’s future.
